Dean - Kurbonov Abdukarim Rakhimovich.
The Banking Faculty is one of the youngest departments at Tajik State University of Commerce. Its predecessor was the Department of Economics and Management, which began in 1987.
On September 1, 2008 as a result of the reorganization of the faculty of Economics and Management, TSUC allocated an independent faculty of for Banking, which is comprised of three branches: Finance and Credit, Banking and Information systems in the economy.
The Faculty has the following departments:
“Finance and credit” |
Head of Finance and Credit Department - Associate Professor Juraev Sh |
“Banking” |
Head of Banking Department - Associate Professor Kurbonova Fariza |
Our faculty trains specialists based on the requirements of the credit system. In addition, the department developed and put into practice a rating system of knowledge and progress of students, including all aspects of their involvement and educational progress. This had a positive effect in terms of discipline and improvement of their overall quality of performance.
Faculty has modern training criteria, allowing students to successfully acquire the necessary theoretical knowledge to develop new methods of organizing financial and banking work. By using personal computers, specialists are able to implement the system and analyze modeling of economic and social processes at various levels of government.
More than 50 students are enrolled at the levels of "excellent or good." At the end of the period of study, graduates can continue their research at graduate school. According to the results of the state certification and state certification committee, members give advice to the best graduates for admission to graduate school. Currently in the field of faculty are more than 20 trained post-graduate, full-time and part-time students.
Educational work at the department is one of the priorities of the deanery. For each group of academic curator are a fixed number of faculty members.
In order to create organizational structures, working faculty involve student activists to address issues of educational work among the students.
They operate with the Student Council for Development and Confidence, Parents' Council and the Council of elderly groups. Each provides some assistance to the deanery and chair of the department.
Their involvement is carried out outside the university, in particular in the dormitory. Every member of the Student Council carries out inspections and maintains sanitary conditions.
Every April, the university holds the traditional "Faculty Week", which is a week of openly held and practical classes. Activities such as meetings of scientific circles, competitions, contests, quizzes, roundtable conversation for graduate and sports events are held.

Tajik State University of Commerce has a relatively short history. However, despite this relatively short period of operation, our fair and efficient operation team has managed to become one of the most prestigious educational and scientific centers in the country. Today the university is the only specialized economic institution in the country with a continuous and multi-level training and development program creating specialists for service industries and scientific-pedagogical personnel. Amongst our full-time faculty members are known scientists, doctors, professors, members of the Honored Science and Technology of the Republic, assistant professors with years of experience in high school, and young scientists within our university graduates. Extensive material provides a technical base for human potential at the university allowing students to gain a deep fundamental knowledge that lets them compete in the labor market.
This is evident by the fact that our university graduates are successfully working in senior management positions of enterprises, organizations of consumer cooperations, banking systems, structures and units within the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy and Trade, and private-sector enterprises. The university understands that the key to successfully creating a favorable atmosphere is based on trust, responsibility, and rigor, which all help to provide a high level of professionalism of teachers. Therefore, the university does whatever is necessary to improve the quality of education and take their rightful place in the educational sectors.
We are pleased that our initiative aims at improving the quality of effective educational research, which is supported by the university founders: Tajik Consumer Board, the Ministry of Education and the Government of the Republic. They help give us strength and confidence for the future of our university.
