Faculty of International Economic Relations, Law and Customs
FACULTY OF INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC RELATIONS, LAW AND CUSTOMS
With the attainment of State Independence, the Republic of Tajikistan was recognized as a full-fledged member of the global political and economic system and began to independently implement its foreign economic policy. During this period, the country experienced a shortage of highly qualified specialists in the field of international economic relations and the world economy.
Taking into account the needs of the labor market, in 1994, by the decision of the Academic Council of the Tajik State University of Commerce (then the Tajik State Cooperative Institute of Commerce), a new faculty named “International Economic Relations” was established. At present, it operates under the name “Faculty of International Economic Relations, Law and Customs.” Initially, the faculty admitted students in the specialties World Economy and Finance and Credit.
