Postgraduate Studies of the Tajik State University of Commerce - the center of scientific personnel
Post-graduate courses at Tajik State University of Commerce were established in 1996. Opening post-graduate courses at the university required a lot of time and effort. The university has a very high need for proper preparation of highly qualified scientists, higher level of education, highly qualified scientific and educational teaching staff and to improve training for other sectors of the economy within the Republic of Tajikistan. Post-graduate courses at Tajik State University of Commerce are a logical extension of our education to form the best possible graduating classes of our university, consisting of specialists from other universities and institutions.
Our people have always had great respect for the people involved in scientific community. Opening post-graduate courses at Tajik State University of Commerce was an effort to create more respect amongst our young teachers and scientists for having the access to advanced degrees. The dramatic increase of young professionals caused for the higher demand of scientific and intellectual work. Every graduate student presents their thesis to the Dissertation Council and a festival of science is held in celebration of the student’s success. The university administration provides all conditions for post-graduate scientific work. At their disposal is a rich modern library equipped with the latest technology. The University Library was recently supplied with hundreds of copies of scientific literature. Graduate students have free access to computers, Internet communications and digital library functions, which help facilitate the work of graduate students on their dissertations.
Supervisors of graduate students are well-known in the country and by foreign scholars. Doctor of Economic Sciences: Habibov SH, H.N. Fakerov, M.M. Sharipov, Radjabov RK, Isomatov BI sanguine N. S., MS Hamitov are just a few of our prestigious staff members. Young researchers and other university members with scientific ideas and research results are at conferences and seminars. Post-graduate courses hold complex lectures and seminars with the participation of leading scientists of the country. In all subjects, according to the requirements in graduate courses, are organized sessions for training and candidate examinations.
Only in recent years in the University Dissertation Council have students defended their dissertations and received diplomas as candidates of economic sciences. Of our 50 young scientists, 25 of them are teachers at our university. Young teachers that are members of the science club gain an honorable and prestigious within the university by developing their communication to a high intellectual level.
Our graduate students, thanks to their tireless work, the support of the director and the leading university scientists, have achieved great results. We are proud today to say that more recent graduates of our university are the leaders of various units today. For example, former graduate Mirzoaliev Abdurashid - Head of the "Management" Tolibov Qobil - Dean "Economics and Management" Hikmatov Suhbatullo - Head of the "Trading expertise and Customs" Kurbonov Abdukarim - Head of the "Banking", Tabarov Abdusame - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of distance learning Avgonov Saifullo - Deputy dean of the Faculty "Commerce and Customs" Tabarov Lutfullo head of the department "Marketing and commerce" and others.
Young scientists of our university have been marked as the leadership of our country. The main reward of our state, Award Somoni Youth for Achievements in Science and Technology, has been awarded to our very own Farhad Sharopov and Djabborov Abdurasul. Furthermore, Huseynov Dilbar and Tolibov Qobil, Candidates of Economic Sciences, have been awarded gifts by President Emomali Rahmon for their achievements in science and teaching.
In graduate school, TSUC trained not only the graduates of our university, but also at other higher education institutions, as well as foreign countries such as Afghanistan, Iran and Turkey.
The university established the Council of young scientists, which is supported by the University Diector and Youth Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. Board members are graduate students and young university professors. Since 2003, the annual scientific report ranks post-graduate students of the University in first place for the work of the council.

This department provides training for full-time students in all the specialties by our faculty, except for specialty 071900 "Information systems in the Economy." In addition, the department provides training for second and third year programs of higher education.

Admission to Master’s Program
• Persons who have diplomas or bachelor's degree may apply for a master’s program. Applicants are abstract on their specialization and admission is based on interviews.
Those who choose a specialty that does not meet their diploma must take a mandatory exam in accordance with the requirements established by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan on education.
• If admissions to the Masters Program coincides with the completion of one’s education at a university, then exam results from their state finals will be applied to the masters exam scores(assuming that the average GPA from their period of study at the university were no lower than " B "or" passing "). If the Master's program takes place one year after graduation, applicants are required to take the exam, despite having a diploma with honors.
There is a 20% admission rate amongst graduates applying to the Master’s Program in institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan. In cases where the number of students accepted to the Masters Program exceeds 20%, a bidding process is held.
• As a result of interviews and examinations, students are ranked based on their score results. There is then an average installed in determining the disbursement of higher education diploma.
• Persons entering the magistracy are required the following documents:
• Personal statement addressed to the Rector indicating the direction of the Judiciary and its specialty;
• Diploma of Higher Vocational Education and its annex;
• Letter of recommendation from the State Certification Commission for admission to magistracy;
• other documents confirming the scientific and educational works, knowledge of foreign languages, computer skills, copies of research papers, etc.

As in any modern institution, Tajik State University of Commerce’s international relations have a strategic direction, which is aimed at entering in the global educational space. This kind of activity helps to establish partnerships with universities abroad and also provides the possibility of external funding from international funds and programs.

The European Community Program TEMPUS / TACIS - is one of several programs of the European region aimed at assisting in the process of social and economic reforms with partnering countries. TEMPUS provides grants for creating new or converting existing courses, restructuring schools and promotes joint activity organizations (academic and non-academic) within certain discipline.
The German Academic Exchange Service DAAD-program is made to support international cooperations in higher education and exchange programs (in both directions, ie support Germans training and researching abroad and foreigners studying within Germany).
The International Association of Students and Young Professionals, AIESEC - International Fellowships Program is providing practical knowledge in the field of economics, management and information technology. AIESEC has been holding international conferences, projects, lectures and seminars for youth.
Program of the Council of the International Research and Exchanges Board IREX - provides an opportunity for students in their first, second and third year at universities to study for one year in a U.S. university or college in various disciplines.

An international perspective is a core element of our university’s activities, because the knowledge that forms the basis of the curriculum is generated worldwide.The University endeavours to give a greater international dimension to its academic programmes by inviting foreign professors and sending university’s professor and staffs to deliver courses of lectures. Moreover, student and staff do not only mature their stay but they also gain in competences often summarized as soft or key skills like intercultural awareness, adaptability, flexibility, innovativeness, proactivity, motivation, endurance, problem solving ability and being able to work productively in a team.
The Tajik State University of Commerce (TSUC) encourages, on a permanent basis, the academic mobility of students and academic staff to various academic centers abroad. Cultural diversity and the different teaching methods utilised by foreign professors, together with the use of a foreign language, constitute an important added value for the development of students’ skills and abilities, while also contributing towards their human and professional growth.

Note: Starting from January 1, 2017, the Republic of Tajikistan launched an electronic information network system for visa application. Students now can obtain visa and extend their visas by filling out the application form online and submitting the abovementioned documents to www.visa.gov.tj. Visa application filled out online must be printed out after submission and along with the original documents be brought to the Main Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan or in case if the applicant is in home country, he/she must bring them to the Tajik consulate located there.

The Faculty was established in 1987 on the basis of the Dushanbe branch of the Novosibirsk Institute of Soviet Cooperative Trade and was give the name "Economics and Accounting", which was renamed the Commodity and Commerce Faculty (1990-1995), Commerce and Technology Department (1995-1997 ) and from 1997 to the present time, has the current operational name Commerce and Customs Faculty.

The Faculty trains bachelors based on the credit system. The faculty has a modern training basis, allowing students to successfully acquire the necessary theoretical knowledge to develop new methods of organizing commerce, marketing research, customs and technology. Using modern pharmaceuticals and personal computers, students implement their knowledge to analyze the modeling of economic and social processes at various levels of government.

At the end of the period of study, graduates can continue their studies at graduate and postgraduate universities.
The structure of the faculty includes the following department:
"Marketing and Commerce" (Head Associate Professor Tabarov LT). The department was formed July 5, 1997 by the decision of the Academic Council of the Institute as a result of the division of the Marketing, Merchandising and Commerce Department. Two separated departments were created titled Marketing and Commerce Department and the Department of Commodity and Examination of Goods.
•«Trading expertise and Customs" (Head Associate Professor A. Љaborov). The department was organized according to the decision of the Academic Council (protocol number 7 from 07/05/1997 g) in 1997 at the Department ("Marketing and commerce", "Commodity and examination of goods") and is a member of the Commerce and Customs Faculty.
•«Philosophy and Political Science" (Head Associate Professor M. Sharipov). In 1996-93 Department operated under the name "Social Sciences."
"Mathematics and Natural Sciences" (Head Associate Professor Odinabekov in assessment). The department was established in 1987.

The most successful and memorable years for the faculty remains to be the 2005-2006 school year. It is in this academic year that, among other faculties of the University and other universities of the Republic of Tajikistan, TSUC became one of the first to switch to a new system of training - the credit system. In the advanced and highly developed countries in Europe and America, future experts, particularly economists, prepare this system to meet all of today’s standards of education. That's why the initial and quite confident steps of our faculty in this direction remain forever in the history of our university.
In recent years, with the direct support of the University administration, the criteria and technical base of the faculty has improved working conditions for teachers and increased the quality of teaching. With the formation of such conditions, the status of our university has risen to an even higher authority. Students currently training for faculty positions have access to the latest computer technology and modern language laboratories for studying foreign languages such as English and Arabic. Currently we also provide courses in Humanities.
Our faculty is comprised of experienced teachers, who for years conducted their creative and scientific activities in different universities of the country. This is our very respected and demanding faculty with extensive teaching experience: Professor BI Isomatov, docents Karimberdiev DC Kurbonmurodov MB, Gafforov Sh Utaganov A.,. Muhatberdiev H., G. Rakhmonov and Khodzhaev G H. among others. The World Economics and Law Department always pays great attention to our graduates so that they can work either in the country or abroad. Many applicants from neighboring countries wish to become part of our faculty. For example, we have students from Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.
The transition of the faculty to a completely new system, the credit system, became a qualitatively new step forward in the development of skilled personnel for our country in recent years.

Historical Background
Economics and Management Faculty was established in September of 1992.
Economics and Management Department is one of the largest at Tajik State University of Commerce. Its predecessor was the Department of Economics and Accounting, which originated in 1987.
On September 1, 2008, as a result of the reorganization of the Economics and Management Faculty, TSUC has allocated an independent faculty of Banking. The faculty trains specialists on three subjects: Management, Economics and Management and Accounting and Auditing. The operation of this faculty is quite natural.
Early in the twenty-first century, there was an urgent need by consumer unions within the Republic of Tajikistan for qualified personnel in the field of economics, management and information technology.

This had a positive effect in terms of discipline, improvement the overall quality of performance.
Faculty has modern training criteria, allowing students to successfully acquire the necessary theoretical knowledge to develop new methods of organization and management of enterprises. By using personal computers, students can implement the system and analyze the modeling of economic and social processes at various levels of government.
At the end of the period of study, graduates can continue their research in graduate school. According to the results of the state certification and state certification committee, members give advice to the best graduates for admission to graduate school. Currently there are more than 25 trained post-graduate, full-time and part-time students.
