From April 6 to April 11, 2026, a delegation of the Tajik State University of Commerce (TSUC), consisting of First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Kurbonov A.R., and Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Digital Technologies in Economics Salimov N.S., paid a working visit to Uralsk, Republic of Kazakhstan.

            The visit was organized at the official invitation of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University and aimed at strengthening international cooperation, developing academic and scientific ties, expanding academic mobility, and participating in the international scientific conference titled “Abai’s Legacy in the Context of Modern Economic Science in Kazakhstan.”

            During the visit, a series of high-level meetings were held with the university’s leadership, faculty members, and administrative staff. In particular, on April 8, 2026, an official meeting took place with the participation of Rector Shakeshev B.T., vice-rectors, and heads of structural divisions.

            The discussions focused on key aspects of bilateral cooperation, including the current status of the cooperation agreement. The parties identified priority areas such as joint research projects, development of academic programs, organization of scientific events, and expansion of academic mobility. Special emphasis was placed on training highly qualified specialists in line with modern labor market requirements.

            On April 9, 2026, a meeting was held with the academic staff of the Institute of Education and Management, where issues related to departmental-level cooperation, joint research initiatives, publications in peer-reviewed journals, and interdisciplinary approaches were discussed. The parties agreed to develop concrete mechanisms for implementing these initiatives and to maintain regular academic communication.

            Within the framework of external academic mobility, TSUC representatives conducted teaching activities at the host university. Kurbonov A.R. delivered lectures on “Economic Theory” for students of economics programs, while Salimov N.S. taught “Fundamentals of Financial Literacy” to students from various fields.

            Additionally, four open lectures were conducted covering key topics of modern economics, including digital economy, e-commerce, taxation systems, and macroeconomic indicators of the Republic of Tajikistan.

            On April 6, 2026, TSUC representatives also participated in the international scientific conference, where they delivered presentations. Kurbonov A.R. presented on “The Role of Foreign Investment in the Development of the Economy of the Republic of Tajikistan,” and Salimov N.S. spoke on “Digitalization and Its Implementation Stages in the Economy of the Republic of Tajikistan.”

            Overall, the visit contributed to strengthening international relations of TSUC, expanding effective cooperation with foreign higher education institutions, exchanging best practices, and improving the quality of education.
