The final event of the regional project "Professional Education for Economic Growth Sectors in Central Asia" (PECA), implemented with the support of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), was successfully held in the city of Bishkek, Republic of Kyrgyzstan. The final forum was held on June 23-24, 2025, at the Orion Hotel and at the sites of partner educational institutions in Kyrgyzstan.
The event was attended by representatives of ministries, higher education institutions, professional education institutions, the scientific community and international partners from Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
Representatives of the Tajik State University of Commerce took part in the forum: Vice-Rector for educational work Hisorieva Gulnora Toirovna and professor of the department of economics and business organization Kadirova Zarina Khalimovna.
The forum programme included an overview of the PECA project's achievements, a discussion of prospects for regional cooperation, as well as presentations and workshops on the development of practice-oriented training, particularly in the food industry and logistics.
Particular attention was paid to the results of monitoring and evaluation of the project, as well as the introduction of innovative solutions into the educational process. During the forum, letters of gratitude were presented to partners and participants for their contribution to the implementation of the project's goals.
The event also included excursions and thematic master classes at the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov, Compass College and the Kara-Balta Technical and Economic College named after M.T. Ibragimov. Participants were introduced to laboratories, training and production facilities, exhibitions of student work and projects in the field of food technology.
The PECA project has made a significant contribution to the development of vocational education in the region, increasing its practical focus and compliance with the needs of the labor market. Its successful implementation has become an example of effective international partnership in the field of education and sustainable development.
