On May 15, 2025, Professors Kim Ki Seok and Sung Keum Young visited the Tajik State University of Commerce under the cooperation agreement with Handong Global University (Republic of Korea). During their visit, they met with students and faculty and held a series of academic lectures.
The lecture series and educational sessions covered the following topics:
• "E-Government" — an overview of the role of digital governance in enhancing transparency, efficiency, and responsiveness in public service delivery;
• "Standard E-Government Framework of the Republic of Korea" — insights into South Korea’s successful experience in developing standards and digital governance mechanisms;
• "Human Resource Development Strategy in the ICT Sector of the Republic of Tajikistan" — presentation of models to strengthen local human capacity, based on international best practices.
The lectures featured active discussions and academic debates among students and professors, fostering in-depth analysis, expanding scientific perspectives, and strengthening academic collaboration.
It is worth noting that the visit of representatives from Handong Global University was organized under UNESCO projects, in which the university is an active partner and contributor.
As part of ongoing cooperation, a series of online and in-person lectures, as well as academic exchanges of faculty and students, are planned for the 2025–2026 academic year.
The main goals of these initiatives are to strengthen international cooperation, enhance the quality of education, introduce cutting-edge global expertise, and prepare competitive professionals for the global job market.
