From 5 to 9 May 2025, the University of Vigo (UVigo), Kingdom of Spain, hosted International Week UVigo 2025 under the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 programme. This prestigious event was recognized as a significant platform for enhancing international scientific and academic collaboration. It brought together representatives from higher education institutions in 25 countries, including Spain, Austria, the Czech Republic, Finland, the Republic of Tajikistan, Ecuador, Portugal, Poland, Azerbaijan, France, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lithuania, Germany, Ukraine, Slovenia, Belgium, and Mexico.

The broad participation of international delegations underscored the growing importance of fostering cross-cultural academic exchange. The conference focused on key themes such as the internationalization of higher education, the promotion of gender equality, and support for scientific research and innovation. Vice-Rector for Sciences and International Relations of the Tajik State University of Commerce Mashokirov Jamshed Ne’matulloevich took part in this international event. His participation in this forum laid the groundwork for deepening international academic cooperation and developing new scientific and educational partnerships with European universities, which contributed to the further advancement of scientific and educational ties between the Tajik State University of Commerce and European institutions of higher education.

The comprehensive week-long programme of UVigo 2025 included:

• A formal presentation of the University of Vigo;
• Site visits to educational and research facilities across the campuses of Vigo, Pontevedra, and Ourense;
• A roundtable discussion on the theme “Transformative Education: Gender Equality and Institutional Change”;
• Familiarization with leading research centers such as CINBIO, the ECIMAT marine research base, and the Auga Campus;
• A series of cultural events showcasing the diverse traditions of participating institutions.

The International UVigo Week 2025 served as an important platform for partnership, exchange of best practices and strengthening international dialogue in the field of science and education.
