On April 20, 2025, within the framework of the visit of the delegation of faculty members and students from the Tajik State University of Commerce (TSUC) to the Gomel University of Consumer Cooperation of Trade and Economics of the Republic of Belarus, a group of teachers and students was sent to the city of Gomel as part of an academic exchange program. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen scientific and educational cooperation, exchange experiences, and expand international relations.

During the visit, the TSUC delegation became acquainted with the academic and scientific activities of the Gomel University, and participated in productive meetings with the university leadership and faculty. As part of the exchange program, excursions were organized for students and teachers to educational institutions, cultural centers, and historical landmarks of the city of Gomel.

On April 26, 2025, within the program, an international seminar titled "Tajikistan–Belarus: Friendship Without Borders" was held, aimed at strengthening cultural, scientific, and educational ties and expanding cooperation opportunities between the universities of the two countries.

The event was attended by the university's administration, including the First Vice-Rector, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Natalia Aleksandrovna Snitkova, Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Ekaterina Petrovna Bagryantseva, Vice-Rector for Ideology and Educational Work, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Vladimir Andreevich Mishchenko, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Natalia Vasilyevna Latskevich, Head of the Department of World Economy and International Relations, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Maria Vladimirovna Timoshenko, Head of the International Relations Department Olga Mikhailovna Maksimchikova, as well as teachers and students from the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Belarus and the Kingdom of Morocco.

During the seminar, issues related to the role of international cooperation in strengthening academic and scientific relations, the development of student and teacher exchange programs, and the implementation of joint projects were discussed. Additionally, the TSUC delegation organized an exhibition featuring the works of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, as well as TSUC’s scientific and educational achievements, national culture, traditions, and Tajik cuisine. The exhibition was warmly received and allowed guests to get a closer look at the rich history and culture of the Tajik people.

At the conclusion of the event, all active participants — students and faculty members — were awarded certificates and commemorative gifts in recognition of their active participation and valuable contributions to the organization of the international seminar.

This academic exchange provided a valuable experience for TSUC students and faculty and created a solid foundation for strengthening friendly relations and future cooperation between the two educational institutions.
