On April 8 of this year, a training seminar was held at the Faculty of Law of the Tajik State University of Commerce as part of the international MOCCA project (Multilevel Orders of Corruption in Central Asia—Comprehensive Measures to Enhance Anti-Corruption Awareness in Central Asia).
The event was attended by Professors Ole Hammerslev and Rustam Urunboev, representatives of the Department of Sociology of Law at Lund University (Sweden), who conducted master classes for students on the topics “Corruption: Terminology, Concept, and Types” and “Challenges in Providing Legal Aid to Persons with Restricted Rights.”
The seminar saw active participation from students and faculty members of the Department of Commercial Law and Anti-Corruption Studies. Key issues discussed included the history and various forms of corruption, effective methods of combating it, and mechanisms for providing legal assistance to vulnerable populations.
The topics sparked great interest among the participants. Students and faculty asked numerous questions related to international experience in combating corruption and the practical aspects of providing legal aid to those in need.
This training seminar marked an important step in strengthening cooperation between the TSUC and Lund University, creating favorable conditions for enhancing the legal knowledge and awareness of students and faculty in the field of anti-corruption efforts.
