Kastamonu University (Turkey) hosted the 1st International Staff Week within the Erasmus+ KA171 program from October 14 to 21, 2024. The event was attended by representatives of 20 leading universities from 18 countries covering Northwest Africa, the European Union, Asia, and Central Asia.
The Tajik State University of Commerce was represented by the head of the Department of World Economy and International Relations, Associate Professor Rustamzoda Fitrat Muzafar, and specialist of the Department of International Cooperation, Project Implementation, and Academic Exchange, Nurmuhammadi Abdullozoda.
Kastamonu University offers more than 200 undergraduate and graduate programs in various fields, including economics, education, tourism, engineering, medicine, sports, humanities, aviation, and the arts. Within the framework of the Erasmus+ program, the university has entered into cooperation agreements with 92 universities in Europe, Asia, Central Asia, and Africa, which include academic exchange, training, and faculty mobilization.
During the visit, meetings were held with representatives of partner universities and participants of the Erasmus+ KA171 program, and presentation tables were organized where universities shared information about their educational, scientific, and international opportunities through brochures, presentations, and videos.
Representatives of the Tajik State University of Commerce also held a working meeting with the rector of Kastamonu University, Professor Ahmed Hamdi Topal, the dean of the Faculty of Economics, and faculty members. As part of the scientific and practical seminar at the Faculty of Economics, Rustamzoda and Abdullozoda presented the achievements of their university in the fields of education, technology, and innovation and also spoke about the implementation of partnership projects.
Following the event, the participants agreed to consider further projects in areas such as the green economy, sustainable energy development, tourism, management, finance, and banking. At the end of 1st International Employee Week, Professor Ahmed Hamdi Topal presented certificates to all participants.
