The Tajik State University of Commerce has established a fruitful cooperation with the European Union project “Horizon 2020: MOCCA-Multilevel Orders of Corruption in Central Asia”. MOCCA is the first research and staff exchange program to contribute to global and national efforts to understand and raise anti-corruption awareness by conducting interdisciplinary research on multi-level corruption regimes in Central Asian countries, consisting of 8 European universities and 9 affiliated partners from Central Asia. The members of this project are from universities in Sweden, Switzerland, Lithuania, Finland, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan.

In the framework of the developed project and plan, a round table was held at the university in connection with the “Year of Legal Education” on May 28, 2024, on the topic “The Role of Scientific Research in the Formation of Legal Education: Anti- anti-corruption in Society." The main purpose of the round table is to discuss ways to increase anti-corruption awareness among representatives of the sciences, education, and institutions of higher professional education.

The round table was started by the Vice Rector for Science and International Relations of the university, Dr. Jamshed Mashokirov, and then he gave a speech to the participants to continue the event.

The participants at the round table were from different departments of the university, professors, and researchers of this project: professor Zarrina Kadirova, docent Ismatullo Ismatulloev, researcher of the department of economics and business organization Zamira Kadirova, manager of the International Relations Department Nurmuhammad Abdullozoda, and also the head of the Commercial Law and Anti-Corruption Law, docent Farrukh Aliyev. In the part of discussion, PhD Nabotzoda S.Kh., Head of the Humanitarian Department docent Ne’monov J.M., and docent Hamitov M.S. spoke and presented their opinions on the existing topic.

During the round table, the researchers of the project brought their research topic about raising awareness of anti-corruption, which is one of the most dangerous and undesirable phenomena and is considered a problem of modern times, and it becomes an obstacle to the development of states.
