On March 16 of the current year, Nurset Niyazbekov, professor of the Department of International Relations at the KIMEP Department of Social Sciences, held an open lecture for young teachers and students of TSUC on the topic: “Consumer Culture”. During the lecture, the professor discussed with students and teachers about the culture of consumption and the consequences of its impact on the global economy, mental health and social well-being.

Dr. Nurseyit Niyazbekov, professor of the Department of International Relations at the Department of Social Sciences at KIMEP, conducts research and advises various international media and research centers in the field of post-communist transit, democratization, state building in Central Asia and protest mobilization. He also has experience as a visiting fellow at the University of Michigan and at the SciencePO Research University, and holds a Ph.D. and an MSc in Political Science and Sociology from Oxford University.
