March 20, 2020 faculty, staff and students of the Tajik State University of Commerce celebrated the International Day of Navruz. Students and faculties of university and students of the Lyceum of TSUC demonstrated their achievements and festive tables set in accordance with national customs and traditions - “haftsin” and “haftshin”, seven dishes, each of which has an ancient symbolic meaning. The main dish of Navruz is sumanak - a sweet porridge from sprouted wheat grains.

At the official part of the event, Vice-Rector for Science and International Relations, Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor Zarrina Kadyrova and a representative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan sincerely congratulated the faculty, staff, students and veterans of the University on the International Navruz holiday and wished them good health, success, joy for the upcoming year. At the end of the official part of the event, the university governance awarded honorary diplomas and a cash prize to university veterans for their work in training and educating specialists, and teachers as well as the active students for their scientific and educational achievements.

The event ended with songs, poetry and dancing by the creative student group “Tojiri Ajam” in honor of the celebration of the international holiday of Navruz.
