On April 10, 2025, the Third Regional Scientific and Practical Conference on the topic “Regional Aspects of Sustainable Development of Vocational Education: Challenges and Prospects” was held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dushanbe. The event was organized jointly with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan and the project “Vocational Education for Economic Development Sectors in Central Asia” (PECA), which is implemented with the support of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany. The conference was attended by more than 160 education specialists and representatives of the private sector from Central Asian countries and the European Union.

 On the second day of the event, at the conference sections, the head of the information and public relations department of TSUC Mukhitdin Khamitov and foreign expert Aizhan Samambaeva from the East Kazakhstan Technical University presented a partnership project between the Tajik State University of Commerce and the East Kazakhstan Technical University named after D. Serikbayev entitled "Promotion of innovations through university research: a joint initiative of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan". Mukhitdin Khamitov and Aizhan Samambaeva also held a master class for conference participants on the topic "Promotion of innovations through university research".

 The main goal of the event is to become an important platform for the exchange of experience, knowledge and results of scientific and practical research among specialists from the countries of the Central Asian region - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and partners from the European Union.
